Job Title: Senior Laboratory Technician
About the Role:
Our organization is seeking an experienced analytical chemist to join our team in a busy research lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain critical laboratory instruments, including ion chromatography, carbon analyser, and potentiometric titrator.
- Monitor instrument performance using quality assurance tools such as control charts and logbooks.
- Troubleshoot equipment and assist in resolving performance or data issues.
- Support laboratory safety and implement process improvements.
- Manage spare parts and consumables.
- Perform general laboratory and facilities upkeep.
- Assist with proficiency testing activities, such as sample splitting.
- Contribute to supervised technical projects as capacity allows.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or related field.
- 2-3 years experience in an analytical laboratory.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality assurance/quality control processes and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and Excel (including macros).
- Valid C Class Licence.
