Senior Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Supervisor - Construction Materials Testing

Chadwick Geotechnics is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Senior Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Supervisor to support our field and laboratory testing operations across the Sunshine Coast to Brisbane corridor.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality construction materials testing, maintaining NATA accreditation, and mentoring junior staff.

What You'll Be Doing

- Actively deliver and perform a range of geotechnical and construction materials tests.
- Ensure compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and NATA quality systems.
- Participate in internal and external audits and proficiency programs.
- Lead and train junior technicians, fostering a culture of accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Liaise with field and project teams to ensure timely sample handling and reporting.
- Promote a strong safety-first culture in all work practices.

What You'll Bring

- Minimum 5-7 years' experience as a NATA-authorised signatory in CMT or geotechnical testing.
- Diploma of Laboratory Technology or equivalent tertiary qualification.
- Sound knowledge of Australian standards and Queensland TMR test methods.
- Experience supervising teams or mentoring junior staff in a laboratory setting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver's Licence, Construction Induction Card (White Card), and PDMG Licence desirable.
