Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Concrete Laboratory Operations Manager to lead our laboratory operations in Brisbane. This senior role involves liaising with stakeholders, utilising laboratory technicians, and ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and NATA requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laboratory Leadership: Build effective working relationships with internal and external contacts and lead field-based concrete testers and laboratory operations.
  • Quality Control: Process and distribute test results and NATA certificates, plan and facilitate safety meetings and reviews, and ensure the efficient and safe operation of the laboratory.
  • Operational Management: Coordinate the review and purchase of safety-related resources and laboratory maintenance, develop and provide data for training and competency plans, and measure and review the efficiency and effectiveness of laboratory operations.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Extensive knowledge of NATA requirements, high level of understanding of laboratory practices and testing principles, and qualifications in laboratory operations are highly regarded.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in a laboratory, within the building industry, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and QESTLab.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent interpersonal and time management skills, sound leadership and participative leadership skills, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
