Product Performance Improvement Specialist

Role Summary

This position serves as the primary liaison between dealers and customers for product performance and problem management within a designated territory.


As part of this role, you will work closely with various product groups, dealers, and customer contacts to provide technical support for an extensive range of surface mining products.


The successful candidate will have opportunities to make a meaningful impact on both the Caterpillar product and customer experience.



Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with dealers and customers to identify opportunities for continuous product improvement.
  • Assist product groups in prioritizing CPIs by providing commercial impact statements, Voice of Customer feedback, and dealer input.
  • Serve as the lead for product problem management discussions with dealers and customers.
  • Support the execution of product performance improvement initiatives at target sites.
  • Manage service and commercial goodwill support administration across allocated dealers and customers.
  • Provide support for NPI and NMI launches in the assigned territory.


Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in a field position is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively with others in the work group, dealer personnel, and customers.
  • Proven ability to communicate and negotiate across all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with dealers, Caterpillar, and customers to meet deliverables.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally and locally.
