Airport Operations Manager

Job Purpose
As a key member of the Emirates team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and cost-effective airport operation. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Airport Services Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of airport operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze anticipated operational problems and undertake necessary remedial action to minimize disruptions.
- Ensure that Handling Agents, caterers, and other service providers are fully briefed on Emirates' requirements for the day's operation.
- Control expenditure on damage baggage replacement and lost baggage claims.
- Assist the Airport Services Manager in preparing and maintaining the staff duty roster and annual leave plan.
- Perform various administrative duties, including attending meetings and representing Emirates' interests.
- Assist with Employee Regulation Programme and conduct staff performance reviews.
- Manage and administer operational activities on a shift basis, ensuring accurate document and information consolidation.
- Establish a regular reporting mechanism to monitor service delivery and ensure KPIs are met.
- Promote a culture of safety, with open reporting of safety deficiencies and human factor issues.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications
- Significant experience in Airport Ground Handling, with a proven ability to lead a team.
- Relevant professional training courses, such as Passenger Services, Ground Operations, and Behavioural Skills.
- A sound working knowledge of reservations, fares, and ticketing, as well as departure control systems.
- Knowledge of dangerous goods regulations and baggage tracing and claims handling.
- Advanced skills in customer service delivery, interpersonal, and cross-cultural communication.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook E-Mail.
- High school level of education or equivalent.
Additional Requirements
This position requires working a rotating shift roster, including weekends, public holidays, and early morning/night shifts.
