**Job Opportunity in Sterilising Department Technology**

  • We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team as Sterilising Department Technicians, working in the Operating Room Suite at a major hospital.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identify, handle, decontaminate, package, sterilise and dispatch reusable medical devices (RMDs).
  • Distribute processed RMDs to the ORS, internal wards/departments, and external customers.
  • Review infection control principles applicable to sterilisation department processes and procedures as guided by AS5369:2023 Standard.
  • Adhere to department policies and procedures and participate in multidisciplinary team activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of, and experience in, sterilising technology and/or qualifications in, or willingness to undertake, a Sterilising Technology course.
  • Ability to obtain thorough knowledge of instruments/equipment processed in the sterilising department and to initiate appropriate action following decontamination and sterilisation protocols.
  • Knowledge of infection control principles applicable to sterilisation department processes and procedures.
