Field Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Field Service Technician. This position is based in Launceston, Australia, and involves assembling, maintaining, and repairing construction and mining equipment to meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The repair and maintenance of both new and used equipment
  • Conducting thorough failure analysis and identifying specific modes of failure
  • Preparing and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
  • Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Completing and submitting all relevant paperwork and reports
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A relevant Mechanical Trade qualification or Commercial Vehicle trades will also be considered
  • Previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair, and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment
  • High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) - highly regarded
  • A strong safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
