Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a supportive and professional environment where the care, safety, and learning of children are at the heart of everything we do.

As a Pre-Prep Educator/Assistant Director, you will be responsible for supporting the Director in coordinating and managing the daily operations of the Centre. In their absence, you will step into a leadership role and ensure that the Centre runs smoothly.

About the Role
  • Support the Director with planning, implementing and evaluating play-based learning programs aligned with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG) and the School's ethos.
  • Build respectful and nurturing relationships with children, families and staff.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children, and contribute to the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
  • Provide guidance and professional support to staff, fostering a collaborative and positive team culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (Bachelor level qualifications will be highly regarded).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG) and the National Quality Standards (NQS).
  • Leadership skills with the ability to support and mentor staff and coordinate daily operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong focus on building partnerships with families.
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.
  • Current training in Child Protection.
  • A valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and commitment to child safety.
