Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Aerospace Development Engineer to join our team as a key member in the development of our reusable launch vehicle system. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and validating the flight control and actuated systems of the New Shepard launch vehicle.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
- A minimum of five years of experience in aerospace development or similar industries
- Demonstrated experience in two or more of the following areas: Servo controlled hydraulic actuation, Electro-mechanical actuation, Mechanisms to deploy, lock, position, or similar application for high-reliability systems, Common aerospace structural materials and surface treatments, Hydraulic and fluid systems modeling and analysis, Aerospace systems engineering principles and processes including requirements derivation, and verification planning and execution
- Proficiency in 3D CAD programs such as NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, Pro/E, etc.
- Experience in analysis including hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
- Experience with GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
We offer a competitive salary range of $111,690-$156,366 for on-site WA applicants, and $102,383-$143,335 for on-site CO applicants. Other site ranges may differ. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, you will also enjoy:
- Paid Time Off: Up to four weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays
- Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results
- 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%
