Facilities Operations Manager

As a Facilities and Maintenance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Omni-Fulfilment Centre. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee all services and processes critical to the Distribution Centre, with a strong focus on safety, security, preventative maintenance, contractor management, and continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities- Work closely with Team Leaders and Zone Managers to ensure safe work practices are followed, driving towards zero LTIs and MTIs.
- Eliminate downtime caused by accidents, injuries, or illness by implementing and maintaining safe working practices and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections of all MHE and wheeled equipment, ensuring any damages are reported, discussed with relevant Zone Managers, and actioned immediately.
- Ensure security, contractor performance, and MHE operations comply with senior management directives, customer requirements, and business expectations.
- Oversee facility security systems including access control, CCTV monitoring, alarm systems, and perimeter protection.
- Strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety policies and legislative requirements.
- Previous experience in maintenance and security operations.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical refrigeration and thermodynamics (HVAC).
- Familiarity with electrical codes to effectively supervise electrical contractors.
- Proven experience with security systems, including CCTV camera operations and patrol requirements.
- Sound warehousing and distribution experience with the ability to identify and resolve maintenance and security inefficiencies.
