Job Description

As a Route Performance Analyst at the Qantas Group, you will play a key role in determining the strategic direction and financial performance on our portfolio of markets within the network. You will identify and support revenue management initiatives and strategies to deliver network financial targets, ensuring the competitiveness and success of our airline.

You will be responsible for the long-term pricing and inventory opportunities of assigned route groups, supporting the identification and implementation of strategic transformation initiatives. You will work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders to provide detailed business cases supported by financial and economic analysis, influencing business decisions that impact our overall performance and strategic direction.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Aviation Management, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Strong airline commercial acumen with a passion for the aviation industry and a detailed understanding of the competitive operating environment for airlines.
  • Advanced analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to translate complex data points to appropriate recommendations and action plans.
  • Advanced skills with Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex situations, formulate solution sets, and present results in simple, presentable, and understandable terms.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of staff and management, with the ability to present and influence outcomes, deal with complexity, ambiguity, confidentiality, and differing viewpoints.
  • Proven stakeholder collaboration experience, with the ability to build effective networks and working relationships to consistently deliver optimal business recommendations.
