Job Description:

Mission Australia is a community-driven organization dedicated to ending homelessness and empowering individuals in need.

We are seeking a skilled Youth Support Specialist to join our team in Western Sydney. As a key member of our Grove youth program, you will provide holistic support to young people aged 16-25 who are experiencing homelessness or at-risk.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting initial assessments and providing ongoing case management support
  • Collaborating with other services to develop individualized case plans and facilitate goal-setting
  • Ensuring clients sustain their tenancies through follow-up support
  • Fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Completing administrative tasks, including client files, case notes, and monthly reporting

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of Cert IV in Community Services/Youth
  • At least 2 years' experience working with at-risk youth
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and advocacy skills
  • A sound understanding of our organization's values and code of conduct
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including highly developed administrative skills
