About Delivering 4 Customers

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the delivery of construction projects across Sydney Water's southern region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and project management, with experience in leading construction teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously. You will be responsible for ensuring that allocated projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Delivery: Lead construction teams to deliver allocated projects, focusing on upgrade of pumps, pipework, switchboards, and valves on pumping stations, odour control and chemical dosing units.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and review costs, invoices, and claims for allocated projects to ensure alignment with budget.
  • Tender Evaluation: Undertake tender evaluation and award subcontract procurement packages to ensure best value for money.
  • Quality Control: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and specifications by monitoring quality and quantities of incoming equipment and material.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Science, Building Construction, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5-10 years' experience in mechanical engineering and project management.
  • Licenses: NSW Driver's License and White Card.

We offer a competitive salary package, estimated at around $120,000 per annum, plus superannuation and other benefits.
