Leadership Role

As a team leader, you will guide a dynamic group of staff who manage workers' compensation claims, promoting safe, timely, and durable return-to-work outcomes for injured workers.

This role provides an opportunity to develop leadership skills, contribute to a vibrant and collaborative culture, and continually improve service offerings to internal and external stakeholders.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Claims and Specialist personnel with varying levels of experience within the workers' compensation space;
  • Contribute to shaping our organisational culture through high levels of people engagement, recognising diversity and increasing people's satisfaction levels and pride in goals;
  • Participate in workforce planning and recruitment activities for the function;
  • Monitor service performance by establishing clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, ensuring timely feedback, appropriate support, addressing performance deficiencies promptly, and recognising exceptional performance;
  • Mentor your team and provide coaching and professional support to ensure they reach their full potential; Analyse team performance trends and projections, and implement remedial action to resolve issues where required;
  • Promote a culture which ensures compliance to business processes is adhered to;
  • Identify areas of opportunity within your team and the organisation and take any action to improve outcomes for our customers and people.
About You

We are seeking an experienced team leader or a current manager looking to bring their passion for people development to a new industry. You will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in team management/leadership within a high-volume and fast-paced environment, or significant experience in workers' compensation claims management and providing coaching;
  • Knowledge of general business and administrative practices and managing cost-effective business activities;
  • Experience in managing performance through qualitative and quantitative metrics;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of stakeholders;
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
  • A strategic mindset and approach to work;
  • A strong sense of team and collaboration;
  • A resilient attitude.
