We are seeking a skilled Pastry Sous Chef to join the Society Pastry operation in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth daily kitchen operations and providing leadership to the team.

The Role

As Pastry Operations Leader, you will assist with menu creation, costing, and inventory management. Your extensive pastry knowledge and creative flair will be valuable assets to our team. You must have experience working in a premium al a carte restaurant and be able to perform under pressure.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a Pastry Sous chef or Senior CDP in a fine dining environment
  • Able to lead a team and maintain a positive working environment
  • Experience in menu creation, costing, and inventory management
  • Resilient and able to perform under pressure
  • Strong communication and delegation skills
  • Understanding of HACCP food safety standards and stock control processes
