Client Relationship Manager

Are you a relationship builder with a passion for delivering exceptional client experiences? Do you have the skills and expertise to develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients?

As a Client Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining productive working relationships with clients and underwriters. You will stay informed about large and complex claims, assist claims teams in negotiating fair settlements on behalf of clients, and proactively identify and fulfill client needs through excellent account management and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage long-term relationships with key clients engaged with insurance products, services, and solutions.
  • Cultivate and maintain productive working relationships with clients and underwriters.
  • Stay informed about large and complex claims, assisting claims teams in negotiating fair settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Proactively identify and fulfill client needs through excellent account management and service delivery.
  • Develop and implement account retention and defense strategies.
  • Seek out and pursue new business prospects.
  • Collaborate with branch networks and insurers to craft solutions that meet client requirements.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and achievement of business plans, budgets, and objectives.
  • Mentor Assistant Account Executives and Account Executives in their professional growth, including renewal and broking strategies.
  • Manage debtor accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Financial Services Reform Act.
  • Promote cross-selling of insurance, financial services, and premium funding products when appropriate during client interactions.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of relevant insurance lines and legislation.
  • High accuracy in documentation, policies, and internal procedures.
  • Good understanding of industry trends and developments.
  • Strong computer skills and organizational abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
