About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Apparel Designer to lead our Childrenswear design team at Country Road Group. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, on-brand product ranges that meet our image, option plan, and price points.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop product ranges that meet our brand image, option plan, and price points.
  • Manage the design brief process, selecting seasonal color palettes and discussing trends in silhouette, fabric, and color.
  • Maintain focus on our target customer and attract new customers through range development.
  • Work collaboratively with the design team to implement approved business initiatives.
  • Utilize forecasting information to contribute to the design brief and build range.
  • Prepare and present design briefs and ranges to the Managing Director.
  • Assist in preparing and participating in store conferences, presenting ranges and discussing key looks.
  • Liaise with overseas agents and key stakeholders to communicate styling and design concepts.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team.
