About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Fashion Designer to join our team at Country Road Group. As a Senior Design Manager, you will be responsible for designing and developing a product range for our Girlswear apparel and accessories line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop a product range that meets our brand image, option plan, price points, and margin requirements.
- Manage the design brief, selecting seasonal color palettes and discussing trends in silhouette, fabric, and color.
- Maintain focus on our target customer and attract new customers through our range.
- Work collaboratively with the Design Manager to implement approved business initiatives.
- Utilize forecasting information to contribute to the design brief and build range.
- Complete necessary research and evolve relevant imagery for boards prior to Design meetings.
- Prepare and present design briefs and ranges to the MD.
- Assist in preparing and participate at store conferences, presenting ranges and talking through key looks.
- Liaise and build relationships with overseas agents and key stakeholders to communicate styling and design concepts.
Requirements:
- Experience building ranges taking into account core, seasonal, and aspirational elements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to develop team member capability and succession.
