Role Summary:
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Health, Safety and Environmental Professional to join our team at one of Australia's leading contractors.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative organization with a supportive culture that prioritizes employee well-being and safety.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining a strong health, safety, and environmental culture, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal system requirements. They will also oversee non-conformance and corrective actions processes, inclusive of change management and implementation.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within HSEQ, knowledge and experience across ISO 9001 and ISO14001 requirements, and the ability to adapt communication style to meet the requirements of multifaceted teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve health, safety, and environmental performance
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans
- Maintain and update health, safety, and environmental schedules
- Ensure timely reporting of incidents and near misses
- Lead and facilitate health, safety, and environmental training programs
- Review data for the health, safety, and environmental scorecard
- Perform statistical analysis of data generated in the scorecard
