Therapist Position Overview

Our organization is seeking part-time therapists to work in a comprehensive and adherent therapeutic program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver therapy within a safe, supportive, and caring environment using the standard DBT model: individual therapy, group skills training, and phone coaching.
  • Collaborate with a clinical team, participating in regular meetings to support ongoing professional growth and share best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with DBT research and training opportunities; monitor the effectiveness of programs with various measures.
  • Contribute to a positive work experience with a focus on self-care and sustainable practice.
  • Provide clinical services outside normal business hours, including running an evening skills training group.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency is mandatory.
  • Registration as a clinical psychologist/psychologist/mental health accredited social worker/occupational therapist is required.
  • Prior clinical experience is preferred.
  • Previous experience with DBT is advantageous; for those without this background, we will provide support through the 16-week online Foundational Training (provided by Behavioral Tech).
  • Ability to develop your own private practice at the same premises, in addition to being part of the DBT team.
