Job Title: Depot Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join our logistics team with a focus on loading and unloading trailers and trucks, sorting freight, and assisting with load allocations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading regular and oversized pallets, including fragile and awkwardly shaped freight.
  • Conducting pre-start checks on forklifts and other equipment in the logistics environment.
  • Using handheld scanners, manifesting, and compiling paperwork.
  • Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Working effectively in a team environment and communicating effectively with colleagues, customers, and carriers.
  • Performing duties that require physical strength, such as hand stacking pallets for bulk delivery.
  • Complying with company policies, partner and carrier policies, and safety protocols and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current Forklift Licence with experience in loading and unloading various types of freight.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact with customers and carriers.
  • Strong understanding of WHS in a busy transport workplace and ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
  • Able to pass a National Police Check and random Drug & Alcohol testing.
