Technical Coordinator

The primary objective of this role is to oversee the daily technical operations, ensure compliance and deliver services across various laboratories, workshops and workspaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of Technical Officers to provide high-quality, client-centric and agile technical support for teaching, research and industry activities.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders from STEM Schools, College Office, Property Services, Finance, HR and OHS to guarantee compliance with relevant policies, standards and legislative requirements.
  • Support planning for new equipment and resources, conduct regular audits, implement continuous improvement processes and foster a safe, collaborative and values-driven work environment through effective staff management, performance planning and knowledge sharing.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Nursing, Anatomy or Biological Sciences qualifications at degree level or higher (management experience is considered advantageous).
  • A minimum of 4 years of subsequent relevant experience.

To succeed in this position, you will have:

  • Proven knowledge and experience in Nursing, Anatomy or Biological Sciences.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating technical support for teaching and research activities.
  • Experience in successfully supervising or managing technical services and associated technical support staff.
  • Demonstrated awareness of current OHS legislation, regulations and standards.
  • Proven initiative and problem-solving skills and ability to organise, plan and manage complex tasks.
  • Highly organised with proven ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a pressured environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong service orientation with highly professional standards.
