Job Description:
We are seeking a Public Affairs Manager to play a key role in shaping the external environment and supporting our commercial objectives. This role works closely with the Director of Public Affairs to build, maintain and strategically leverage relationships across government, industry stakeholders, key influencers and decision-makers throughout Australia.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support business objectives, reputation and key projects with the development of policy positions and stakeholder engagement strategies to deliver advocacy priorities and improve public health outcomes.
- Coordinate research and data analysis to inform advocacy efforts.
- Develop and implement forward-looking plans, and prepare reports, briefs and other documents to support the implementation of public affairs work.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop effective public affairs strategies.
- Deliver high-quality public policy submissions on behalf of the organisation.

Requirements:
A degree-level qualification in political science, public policy, communications, legal or business, along with proven experience in public affairs, government and stakeholder relations. Strong understanding of the public or private health sector is essential. Ability to build and maintain trusted relationships across a wide range of stakeholders is crucial. Strong research, writing and presentation skills are also required. A growth mindset and ability to navigate ambiguity are necessary for success in this role.
