Job Title: Senior Program Officer
Job DescriptionAs a senior program officer, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of complex program initiatives that support state-wide planning, preparedness, response, and recovery.
Our team is responsible for building safer, more resilient communities across NSW, and we are seeking an experienced professional to lead research, provide expert advice, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure programs are evidence-based, strategically aligned, and effectively implemented.
You will be responsible for managing and coordinating projects, preparing high-level reports, and driving project milestones to shape disaster management outcomes.
Key Responsibilities• Design and coordinate government programs
• Develop and implement project plans and timelines
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve project objectives
• Conduct research and analyze data to inform program development
• Prepare high-level reports and briefs
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering complex initiatives
- Excellent written communication skills, including reports, briefs, and correspondence
- Demonstrated experience designing and/or coordinating government programs
- Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant field
Additionally, you will have the ability to conduct and apply research to inform program development, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
