Workplace Health & Safety Manager

Our organization is seeking a seasoned professional to oversee and enhance our Workplace Health & Safety Management System. The successful candidate will be responsible for aligning our system with ISO 45001 standards, identifying opportunities for improvement.

The ideal candidate will have experience delivering safety advice for construction or operational sites and possess exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the WHS Management System to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
  • Deliver practical and current WHS guidance to managers and employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborate with the People, Culture & Safety team to implement the WHS Strategy effectively and consistently.
  • Manage the WHS hazard and incident reporting system, ensuring meticulous and timely record-keeping.
  • Conduct site evaluations for adherence to safety goals and manage the contractor induction and compliance process.
  • Lead WHS investigations, coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute impactful WHS training programs and contribute to regulatory reports.
  • Represent the organization in external partnerships and foster relationships with regulators and industry networks.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Possess a desirable qualification in WHS or a related field, or demonstrate a strong willingness to achieve a Diploma-level qualification.
  • Have previous experience driving change and implementing improvement strategies.
