About the Role

Mercy Community is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Response Facilitator to join their team in Townsville. This permanent, full-time position offers a rewarding opportunity to provide quality service delivery to children, young people, families, and the community within the Family and Child Connect Service (FaCC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess information provided in referrals, engage with families with multiple and high-level needs, and provide resources and support.
  • Engage with families and service providers to facilitate vital connections to community support options.
  • Complete referrals to appropriate services and provide services to the wider Townsville region and beyond.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A degree in Child Protection or Social Work or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Previous experience working effectively across government and non-government service providers to negotiate high-quality service provision to families with complex issues.
  • Demonstrated intermediate ability to use computer IT systems, including MS Word and Excel, and a Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver Licence.
  • A positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and the ability to obtain any other legislatively required personal history screening as required.
