Project Leader

The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of large-scale data centre projects. This includes planning, coordinating and managing cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes within scope, budget and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop comprehensive project plans including risk management, resource allocation and budgeting during the pre-construction process.
  • Optimise project programs with contractors to enable fast deployment.
  • Manage pre-construction stages of data centre projects from design through to handover to construction project teams.
  • Coordinate efforts across engineering design, construction, procurement, facilities and operations teams.
  • Engage procurement and legal teams to ensure contracts support delivery objectives.
  • Lead regular project status meetings and provide executive-level updates on progress, issues and decisions required.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between project teams, contractors and external vendors.
  • Build relationships with external partners, including government regulators, construction contractors and equipment vendors.
  • Track expenditure, cost forecasts and commercial management during the pre-construction stage.
  • Manage contract compliance with vendors and suppliers.
  • Implement and maintain project risk registers and contingency planning.
  • Ensure all infrastructure complies with internal standards, regulatory requirements and sustainability targets.
  • Manage change control processes and quality assurance checks at each project milestone.
