About the Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our Pact Group team. As a key member of our Health, Safety, Environment, and Sustainability (HSES) team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Incident Investigation and Management:

    Conduct thorough investigations into health, safety, and environmental incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  2. Regulatory Compliance:

    Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, providing recommendations for continuous improvement of our Group HSES System.
  3. Program Development and Implementation:

    Plan, develop, and implement effective health, safety, and environmental programs, including training, audits, and risk assessments.
  4. Hazard Identification and Control:

    Identify potential hazards and develop guidelines for their control, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.
  5. Culture Development:

    Promote a zero-harm culture within the organization, providing expert advice and support to management teams to drive the implementation of our Group HSES system.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Strong knowledge and understanding of health, safety, and environmental codes of practice, standards, and associated obligations; Strong skills in hazard identification, risk management, and incident investigation; Previous experience in developing, implementing, monitoring, and auditing safety or environmental management systems; High level of computer literacy and developed administrative skills; Commitment to sustainability and providing an honest, respectful work environment; Experience working in manufacturing or large, multinational company environments; High level of initiative and ability to work effectively and remotely from the HSES team.
