Job Opportunity

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly motivated individual to support the smooth operation of the Board and its Committees.

The role will work closely with the Secretary to provide specialist advice on governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, maintain and collate board and committee agendas, minutes and related papers
  • Support the Secretary in providing specialist advice on governance requirements
  • Develop, review and amend board and committee administration policies and procedures
  • Manage protected disclosures and maintain a board calendar
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including ASIC and State/Territory Governments
  • Assist with the recruitment and induction of new board and committee members

About You:

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, who can work well under pressure and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

  • Values aligned to our mission
  • Demonstrated experience with governance boards and senior management
  • Knowledge of ASIC and ACNC regulations, Australian Charity and Company Law
  • Tertiary degree or formal training in governance or a related discipline
