Therapist Opportunity

We seek a skilled therapist to join our team and provide counseling services to individuals and groups. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people who have experienced abuse, as well as their non-offending family members.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing an integrated counseling service that includes individual and therapeutic groups to assist children and young people aged 5 to under 18 years who have experienced abuse or are engaging in problematic sexual behavior.

About the Role
  • This is a part-time position within our Family and Disability Services team, working across Queensland.
  • You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality counseling services to clients.

To succeed in this role, you will need a degree in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology or Behavioural Science, as well as eligibility for registration or membership to AASW, APS, ACA, PACFA or other recognized body.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing counseling services to children and young people who have experienced abuse or are engaging in problematic sexual behavior.
  • Developing and implementing individual case plans that address the specific needs of each client.
  • Collaborating with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting clients and their families.
