Clinical Midwifery Educator Role

Werribee Mercy Hospital is a major public hospital in Victoria. The Clinical Midwifery Educator will work collaboratively with the Learning Manager and Program Lead to provide clinical support and learning activities across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver education programs for midwives and nurses that enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate closely with Clinical Support Midwives to provide support to under graduates, graduates and other staff members, ensuring they have the necessary tools to succeed.
  • Work effectively with the Learning Manager and Program Lead to implement learning activities that meet the needs of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Current registration as a Registered Midwife/Nurse with AHPRA.
  • A minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required.
  • A post-graduate qualification in education or working towards it is highly desirable.
