Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Data Governance Manager. This position is responsible for developing and implementing a data governance framework that ensures data accuracy, security, and compliance with privacy regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining a company-wide data governance strategy, policies, and standards.
  • Establishing data stewardship roles and responsibilities across business units.
  • Leading the creation and enforcement of data classification frameworks to control sensitive data access.
  • Ensuring alignment with relevant regulatory requirements such as GDPR, CCPA, OAIC, and Privacy Act reform.
RequirementsQualifications:
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in data privacy, data governance, or technology risk.
  • A strong understanding of the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
  • Hands-on experience conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
  • An understanding of data management principles, including data quality and lifecycle management.
  • A solid grasp of AI concepts and their associated privacy challenges.
