Job Title: Pathology Collector/Phlebotomist

A key role is available for a skilled professional to join our team in the Collection Services Department.


We are seeking individuals committed to delivering exceptional patient care, who thrive in fast-paced environments and are flexible with travel and shift availability.


As a pathology collector/phlebotomist, you'll collect specimens, support laboratory operations, and provide high-quality customer service across various settings.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to a customer-focused pathology collection service.
  • Provide a high-quality healthcare service to all referrers and consumers.
  • Perform venepuncture and other duties related to specimen collection, data entry, processing, and delivery.

Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Pathology Collections and/or experience in venepuncture or willingness to learn all aspects of the clinical environment.
  • Demonstrated customer service experience and effective communication with patients, carers, and clinical staff.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills to resolve issues in the clinical environment.
  • Familiarity with pathology terminology and willingness to learn collection, data entry, and specimen preparation practices.
  • Unencumbered Class C Driver's License (NSW) or ability to travel to any site for a shift.
  • Willingness to participate in shift work, including weekends and travel within the operational area as required.
  • Ability to manage a demanding professional environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficient computer skills with high attention to detail and data accuracy.
