About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Technology team as a Data Platform Engineer.

  • Maintain and evolve Perth Airport's Azure Fabric Data Platform, ensuring it is stable, reliable, scalable, and secure.
  • Oversee the operation, optimisation, and security of the data platform.
  • Design, manage, and optimise data pipelines, storage, and compute resources to support analytics, reporting, and APIs.
  • Collaborate with analysts, engineers, business teams, and vendors to improve data delivery and usability.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience designing, building, and managing data platforms and data product workloads.
  • Strong skills in Python, SQL, PowerShell, Power Query, and cloud-native data integration.
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Azure technologies (Fabric, SQL Server, OneLake, Fabric Data Factory, Purview, DevOps, Apache Spark).
