As a Cloud Data Architect, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining a hybrid on-premises and cloud-based data platform that ingests, stores, and serves large volumes of financial data with reliability and low latency.The role focuses on architecting scalable, high-performance data infrastructure across on-prem and cloud, developing real-time and batch-oriented data pipelines for market data ingestion, integrating and managing data from internal systems and external vendors with a focus on reliability and quality, and implementing best practices around data governance, access control, monitoring, and observability.You will collaborate with traders, researchers, and developers to align data systems with business needs, provide production support, including out-of-hours assistance when needed, and assist and mentor others working on data pipelines and orchestration.This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team building and supporting the backbone of Life Trading's data and infrastructure.Requirements
  • Degree in Maths, Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable experience.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, data storage, and streaming technologies.
  • Proficiency with Linux, networking, and performance tuning.
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP).
  • Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java.
  • SQL and data modelling skills.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure as code.
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster.
