We are seeking a dedicated Specialist Teacher to support the academic and personal growth of our diverse student population. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in developing and implementing individualised learning plans, collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists.

About The Role
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans for students with diverse needs, including those with learning difficulties, physical or intellectual disabilities, and English as an Additional Language (EAL) requirements
  • Closely collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure a holistic, student-centred approach to learning
  • Provide one-on-one and small group instruction to students, tailoring teaching strategies to meet their unique needs
  • Monitor student progress, analyse data, and adjust learning plans accordingly
  • Liaise with external agencies and service providers to coordinate additional support for students
  • Contribute to the development and review of inclusive education policies
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in inclusive education
Key Qualifications
  • A teaching qualification and registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
  • A recognised qualification in Special Education or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience working as a specialist teacher in a secondary school setting
  • In-depth knowledge of teaching strategies and learning support programs for students with diverse needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
