Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the Property Services and Facilities Branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the strategic management and operational delivery of safe, functional, and community-focused property and facility services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage branch operations, including budget preparation, resource allocation, and program delivery with a focus on safety-first leadership
  • Provide advice and negotiations on leasing, acquisitions, property market trends, and cost-effective management of infrastructure
  • Oversee the operational management and service delivery for day-to-day council-owned facilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of long-term property and facility strategies, initiatives, and policies and procedures
  • Provide advice to stakeholders, including Councillors and management, regarding effective property services and facilities management
Requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in property management, facility management, or a related field
  • Experience in achieving strategic and operational objectives
  • Demonstrated experience in operational service delivery in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • Proven capability in navigating real estate law, property titling, and tenure matters
  • Established financial management skills
  • High level of inter-personal and communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively lead a team to success
