We have an exciting opportunity for a Domestic Student in Australia (Citizens and Permanent Residents) to join our industry-based PhD project at RMIT University in collaboration with Consunet Pty Ltd. The scholarship is supported by the CSIRO Next Generation Graduate Program.
The project focuses on Distributed Cognitive Electromagnetic Systems, exploring how multiple intelligent platforms can autonomously sense, communicate, and adapt their behavior in shared and dynamic RF environments.
You will investigate how AI can enhance spectrum awareness, improve coordination between platforms, and maintain reliable operation especially in congested or contested RF conditions.
Key Skills:
- Programming: Python or MATLAB experience.
- Mathematical modelling: probability, optimization, or multi-agent interactions.
- Machine learning: reinforcement learning, or multi-agent systems.
- Signal processing: spectrum sensing, localization, or radio environment modelling.
- Multi-agent systems: distributed intelligence, communication-limited cooperation, or swarm behavior.
