About the Role

The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy to support the online and offline business initiatives of our highly successful Portmans brand. Reporting to the Marketing Manager – Portmans, this role will play a key part in the development of communications for the brand's extensive email program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging and innovative social media content to drive customer engagement and interaction
  • Manage the Portmans social communities, communicating in a professional and unique social media voice that aligns with the brand's DNA
  • Provide weekly and monthly summary reports on the brand's social media activity performance
  • Assist in the development of the brand's email program, aligned with the marketing calendar
  • Execute all social media activities, including posting, tweeting, sharing, engaging, liking, and increasing social reach

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing and social media, with retail industry experience preferred but not essential
  • Tertiary education in a marketing-related field
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and managing day-to-day social media activity and community management
  • Demonstrated experience in image and video editing software, such as Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign/PremierPro, and social media advertising platforms
  • Experience in developing engaging content to contribute to the brand's email program
