Tailings Engineer

About the Job:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, assessment, and operation of tailings storage facilities (TSFs) and associated infrastructure.

You will be involved across the project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through to detailed design, construction support, and closure planning. Working closely with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams, you will gain exposure to technically diverse and high-profile projects.

The successful candidate will have a solid foundation in geotechnical or tailings-related work and a genuine interest in sustainable mining. They will also possess strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the design and assessment of TSFs and other mine waste facilities
  • Assist in geotechnical and civil analysis, modelling, and reporting
  • Contribute to site investigations, inspections, and construction support
  • Prepare high-quality technical deliverables, including drawings, calculations, and reports
  • Collaborate with specialists in water, environmental, and mine planning disciplines
Requirements:
  • A degree in civil, geotechnical, or mining engineering (or similar)
  • 3–6 years' relevant experience in tailings, geotechnical, or mine infrastructure design
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Prior consulting experience (preferred but not essential)
