Key Tailings Systems Engineer RoleThe Key Tailings Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in providing mechanical engineering expertise across tailings process infrastructure; particularly slurry systems, piping, and associated plant.Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, review, and optimization of slurry systems, tailings pipelines, pumping systems, and related mechanical infrastructure.
  • Act as the subject matter expert on slurry transport and tailings processes within project teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers, ensuring high-quality project delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to understand their operational challenges and provide tailored, value-driven solutions.
  • Support business development through technical input, proposals, and client engagement.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and innovation in sustainable tailings management.
Necessary Skills and Qualifications:
  • Deep understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience in slurry systems, piping, and tailings management.
  • Strong leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional certification in a relevant field (e.g. PEng).
  • Experience working in the mining industry.
  • Knowledge of sustainability principles and practices.
