Job Summary:

AusNet Services is seeking a highly skilled Group Leader: Project Engineering to lead a team of engineers in providing engineering input throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high standards of quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to an engineering team accountable for project development functions and management of detailed design of Customer and Company initiated projects.
  • Play an active role in managing resource allocation across Engineering Solutions to deliver Project Development and Design Management accountabilities.
  • Manage the timely delivery of design projects through working closely with the Ausnet Project Manager and providing technical and delivery support.
  • Regularly monitor and review processes to ensure efficient delivery.
  • Support the design tender process including development of tender documentation, review of proposals and contract award decision making.
  • Provide engineering input into commercial offers on customer projects.
  • Engage with internal and external teams to ensure scopes adequately consider constructability, operability and maintainability.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Significant experience working in electrical engineering, electrical project delivery and/or electrical design role.
  • Previous experience leading successful engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated management of a number of projects simultaneously from conception through detailed design.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environment that AusNet operates within.
  • Demonstrated experience in reviewing and improving business processes.
