ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a permanent position located at one of our mining operations. As the Manager of Maintenance, you will play a pivotal role in leading the maintenance team, ensuring the effective execution of maintenance strategies that align with the company's operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with senior leadership to establish and execute the strategic direction for the maintenance department.
  • Provide guidance and support to the maintenance team, ensuring alignment with production forecasts.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of maintenance projects to ensure equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive maintenance plan that aligns with production needs.
  • Foster a culture of safety and accountability, adhering to the company's values while ensuring cost-effective maintenance practices.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Extensive experience in maintenance within the underground coal mining sector.
  • Proven track record in leading mining operations and managing diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills to implement effective maintenance solutions.
  • Ability to achieve production targets and manage performance metrics effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance, with a history of upholding operational standards.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring to improve team engagement and performance.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications in engineering.
  • Desirable certification as a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Manager.
  • Frontline management qualification.
