ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a permanent position located at one of our key mining operations. As the Manager of Maintenance, you will play a crucial role in the Leadership Team, spearheading the development and execution of strategies for the Maintenance division to meet essential operational and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with senior leadership to establish and execute the strategic vision and commercial goals for the maintenance function.
- Lead and support the Maintenance team, ensuring alignment with production forecasts and operational performance standards.
- Oversee the planning and execution of maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards to maximize equipment uptime.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive 12-Month Maintenance and Engineering Plan that aligns with production schedules.
- Foster a culture of safety and accountability, ensuring maintenance activities are conducted efficiently and effectively.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Extensive background in maintenance within underground coal mining operations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing teams and driving operational excellence.
- Strong strategic planning abilities to formulate and implement effective maintenance strategies.
- Proven track record in achieving production targets and managing departmental performance metrics.
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance, with a history of upholding operational standards.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring to enhance team engagement and organizational performance.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary or trade qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Desirable: NSW Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Manager certification.
- Desirable: Frontline management qualification.
