ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a permanent position located at one of our key mining operations. As the Manager of Maintenance, you will play a pivotal role in leading the maintenance team, ensuring the effective execution of maintenance strategies that align with our operational goals.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with senior leadership to establish and execute the strategic direction for the maintenance department.
- Providing guidance and support to the maintenance team, ensuring alignment with production forecasts.
- Overseeing maintenance scheduling, project management, and compliance to meet equipment availability targets.
- Developing and managing the annual maintenance plan in accordance with production needs.
- Championing safety and accountability while adhering to company values and ensuring efficient maintenance practices.
ABOUT YOU
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Extensive background in maintenance within underground coal mining.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing mining operations and cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic planning skills to formulate and implement effective maintenance strategies.
- Proven ability to manage departmental performance and deliver on production forecasts.
- Commitment to safety and compliance, with a history of upholding operational standards.
- Experience in coaching and mentoring to foster employee engagement and enhance organizational capability.
Qualifications required:
- Tertiary or trade qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Certification as a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Manager is preferred.
- Frontline management qualification is advantageous.
