Role Overview
This is a senior child protection practitioner role that requires a strong sense of social justice and an understanding of complex family dynamics.
The successful candidate will be able to collaborate with the team manager to strengthen case practice, provide effective service delivery, and support other practitioners in developing plans to ensure the safety, stability, and development of children and young people.
This role will involve supervising team members in daily tasks through a structured and supportive learning program. The practitioner will also possess an understanding of Aboriginal culture and demonstrate knowledge of legislative, policy, and practice requirements related to Aboriginal children, families, and communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Critical Assessment and Reflection: Engaging in risk assessment, analysis, case management, reporting, and reflective practice.
- Engaging Others: Engaging with children, families, and support networks. Collaborating with practitioners and services, and sharing knowledge.
- Delivering Results: Problem-solving, making informed practice decisions, delivering improvements, and managing budgets to achieve the best outcomes.
Working in Regional Victoria Incentive
External applicants relocating to regional areas could be eligible for up to $20,500 in incentives. Internal applicants relocating to regional areas could be eligible for up to $15,500. Additional salary packaging options may be available for remote work locations.
