Position Overview

We are seeking a highly driven and enthusiastic professional to take on the role of Area Sales Manager within the Power Tools division. This position will be home office-based, covering the designated regions. The role necessitates local and regional travel, which includes the provision of a Tool of Trade vehicle.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Formulating, maintaining, and executing territory strategies to meet sales and profit objectives while expanding market share.
  • Consistent planning and management of customer relationships.
  • Identifying and developing new business prospects.
  • Promoting product launches and marketing initiatives to enhance brand visibility.
  • Delivering training on the complete product range to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing insights on market trends, competitive activities, and general feedback.
  • Generating accurate sales forecasts and devising strategies to address gaps or capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Participating in trade exhibitions, new store inaugurations, and scheduled training sessions.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a diligent professional capable of navigating multiple business units, managing various topics and priorities, and fostering effective relationships across all organizational levels.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated sales experience and a proven track record of success.
  • Strong planning, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Capability to uphold and implement all sales excellence processes and standards.
  • Experience in power tools, hardware, or trade sectors is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in training and demonstrating products to stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of market dynamics, competitors, and product offerings.
  • Strong business acumen is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Experience with web-based reporting tools such as Tableau.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Teams.
  • High attention to detail and self-discipline.
  • Exposure to the construction sector is beneficial.
  • Willingness to undertake regular state-based travel and occasional interstate travel.
