Senior Cyber Security Specialist Position

Cyber security is a top priority in today's digital landscape. As a Senior Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in protecting our systems, networks, and data from evolving cyber threats.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive cyber security strategies to safeguard our organisation's assets.
  • Conduct regular security risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend controls to mitigate risks.
  • Monitor and analyse security events, alerts, and logs to detect and respond to potential threats and breaches.
  • Lead incident response efforts to contain, eradicate, and recover from cyber attacks.
  • Perform security assessments and penetration testing to identify vulnerabilities and address weaknesses.
  • Provide guidance on security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members in cyber security principles and practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 2 years of proven work experience as a Cyber Security Analyst, with a focus on security operations, incident response, and risk assessment.
  • In-depth knowledge of cyber security principles, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Experience with security monitoring tools, SIEM solutions, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Familiarity with penetration testing methodologies, vulnerability assessment tools, and secure coding practices.
