Job Title: Senior Cyber Security Expert

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our global team in Brisbane or Sydney on a full-time permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of advanced security controls, conducting comprehensive security assessments, managing and responding to complex security incidents, and providing expert technical guidance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage monitoring of security alerts and events using advanced security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
  • Analyze and supervise comprehensive analysis of security logs, network traffic, and data to detect and respond to advanced threats.
  • Investigate and lead investigations into complex and high-impact security incidents, conducting thorough root cause analysis and impact assessments.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cyber security analysts, providing guidance and support.
Requirements:
  • Cyber Security experience with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Expertise in metric reporting and KPI/SLA management.
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, SIEM, DLP, and endpoint protection.
  • Knowledge and understanding of offensive security methodologies.
  • Experience leading and guiding a high-performance team with business-as-usual initiatives.
  • PRACTICAL understanding of the application of various security tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships and collaborating with stakeholders.
