RMIT University seeks an experienced Vocational Educator to join our team in the field of disability and aged care. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs that cater to the needs of students in these fields.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled educator with extensive experience in vocational education and training (VET). As a Vocational Educator, you will design and deliver training programs that meet the requirements of industry standards and regulatory bodies. Your expertise will ensure that students gain practical skills and knowledge that prepare them for successful careers in disability and aged care.

In this role, you will work closely with industry partners, academic staff, and other stakeholders to develop and implement training programs that align with industry needs and RMIT's strategic goals. You will also be responsible for assessing student learning, providing feedback, and mentoring students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver high-quality training programs that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements;
  • Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to support student achievement;
  • Mentor students to enhance their skills and knowledge in vocational education;
  • Collaborate with industry partners and academic staff to develop training programs that meet industry needs;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in vocational education and training.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in vocational education and training, preferably in the field of disability and aged care;
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or higher;
  • Strong industry connections and partnerships;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000-$110,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive remuneration package, including salary, superannuation, and generous leave entitlements.
